research

My research interests cover a broad range of topics in the new field of gravitational-wave astronomy. My publications are available from arXiv or Inspire HEP.

Astronomy

Detecting gravitational waves from black holes and neutron stars with the Advanced Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO).

Astrophysics

Understanding the sources of gravitational waves and using gravitational waves to study physics and astronomy.

Computing

Development of computing hardware and middleware for gravitational-wave astrophysics. Management of large-scale scientific workflows.

Education

Improving the introductory science experience for non-majors through student-centered learning. Developing inclusive pathways to STEM careers.
